Peter Fimrite’s article “SF Bay’s problems fester as regulator neglects responsibility, investigation finds” highlights a big problem we face in the Bay. The audit of the BCDC revealed many problems the Commission faces – due to weakness in its executive leadership plus poor oversight from the Commissioners. This can be fixed but reform is needed. Sadly the Commission’s response was an attempt at a whitewash with a request that we could do our job better with more dollars. A more responsible approach would be to accept criticism, agree and implement reforms. Asking for more money before reform is not the answer… – Bob Wilson
